YEPP, in collaboration with Science Basement, took a break from the ordinary to step into the extraordinary! We visited the Paradox Museum Helsinki for an afternoon where science, art, and psychology collide—and where absolutely nothing makes sense (in the best way possible).
Located right in the heart of Helsinki, between Senate Square and Esplanade Park, the museum offered us the perfect escape from reality. With over 45 interactive exhibits, our group spent the day questioning our perception of reality, snapping hilarious photos, and exercising our brains.
Highlights of the Visit:
- The Zero Gravity Room: We channeled our inner astronauts! This exhibit completely tilted our world, making it feel like gravity had gone upside down. It was a challenge for our senses (and our balance), but the photos of us “floating” were totally worth it.
- The Paradox Sofa: A definite favorite for group shots. It looked like our bodies had been taken apart and scattered—a “glitch in the system” that had us all laughing.
- The Paradox Tunnel: Walking straight sounded like a simple task until we stepped into this tunnel. The disruption of gravitational direction made for a dizzying and unforgettable experience that bonded the team through shared stumbling and laughter.
- The Infinity Room: We got lost in the endless reflections, a mesmerizing spot that literally stretched our imagination to infinity.
Beyond the fun and the “Instagrammable” moments, it was a fantastic opportunity for the group to bond, learn a bit about the physics of illusions, and simply enjoy being young in Helsinki.
If you haven’t been yet, we highly recommend it! It’s not just a museum; it’s a workout for your mind and a guaranteed good time.
